Not our usual day at the ‘Office’

Police vans with barrier tape across entrance to site

Not your usual day at the office at our Cardiff site this week, when our experienced Plant Operator, Shaun Schroeder, uncovered a potential unexploded WW2 bomb. Thankfully this proved to be nothing more than a previously buried gas bottle that was uncovered during our works, the gas bottle has now been disposed of and site has reopened as normal work resumes.

We thank the local police force and the Joint Service Explosive Ordnance Disposal squad for their fast response to the situation.

L A Moore Helps The Local Fire Brigade With Training

L A Moore helps the local Fire Brigade with a training drill for one of their apprentices.

L A Moore Ltd were awarded the demolition and asbestos removal of the existing Splott Market and Lewis Road Studios, Cardiff.

During the works within the Lewis Road Studio building we had a stop-by request from the local Fire Brigade on 24th October. They had an apprentice with them who required a more diverse training regime on a “live” building rather than their depot.

We thank Richard from Morgan Sindall Construction for the opportunity to grant their request.

The crew were appreciative of this opportunity and we hope to host the Fire Brigade again on future works.
