Well Done Joe Ready!

We are proud to announce that Joe Ready won a well deserved award at the NFDC AGM last Friday (31st March).

The NFDC considered he was worthy of the title “Demolition Industry Achievement Award”. This was the first time this was given by the NFDC and in recognition of Joe’s dedication to the industry and was long overdue!

Well Done Joe

Demolition in Somerton

We are always looking to improve our local area and Somerton will benefit from our current works there. Elan Homes will build new flats, houses and shops will on the site once we have completed the demolition and site clearance.  It is hoped that artists and crafts people will occupy the shops to create an artistic quarter for Somerton, and as a result enhance the town.

We’re looking forward to seeing the finished project.

L A Moore Ltd begins demolition of Frome Police Station

Demolition of the old Frome Police Station

L A Moore Ltd has begun demolition of the old Frome police station.

We were chosen by Newland Homes to undertake the demolition job, which we expect to last about six weeks. Buildings we will be demolishing include the old police station and magistrates court, police houses, garage blocks and hard standings.  Newland Homes will build 61 new homes on the site once the demolition work is complete.

We aim to either re-use or recycle as much of the demolition waste as possible. Masonry produced during the demolition will be crushed using one of our mobile crushers for later re-use on site.  During the demolition we will segregated other materials such as wood and metal for re-cycling.
