World Cancer Day | L A Moore Limited
L A Moore Limited is proud to recognise World Cancer Day, supporting global efforts to raise awareness and improve outcomes for those affected by cancer.
Statistics show that 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer during their lifetime, making this a challenge that impacts individuals, families, workplaces, and communities alike. Like many organisations, we have experienced the loss of colleagues and loved ones to this disease.
Significant progress has been made. Cancer survival rates have doubled over the past 40 years, and today, half of all patients diagnosed will survive their cancer for more than 10 years. These improvements reflect advances in research, early diagnosis, and treatment.
However, the increasing prevalence of cancer, largely driven by longer life expectancy, highlights the need for continued focus and investment. While outcomes are improving, the scale of the challenge remains substantial.
On World Cancer Day, L A Moore Limited reaffirms its support for initiatives aimed at closing the care gap and accelerating progress, with the shared ambition that three in four people will survive cancer within the next two decades.
